Book Clubs

Each month we host four book clubs in our beautiful shop. Check out our events page for dates and specific book details. Our book clubs all focus around newly-released paperback books, and we offer 10% off in store purchases of the title for the month before book club (regardless of whether you are attending the discussion session or not). Spaces are limited, so make sure to book a spot if you want to attend! 

Fiction Book Club

Join us for our Fiction book club, where we will read books from across various subgenres - be it contemporary fiction, historical or translated. It might be something that's getting all awards and accolades, or perhaps a hidden gem that's flying under the radar. Rest assured, it will be something that's brand new into paperback and you'll be able to meet and discuss it with a like-minded and welcoming group of readers. Run by Joanna and Megan, we have two sessions each month (one evening and one afternoon).


Sci-Fi and Fantasy Book Club
Our Sci-Fi and Fantasy book club is the home of world-building, futuristic, battle-strewn novels set in fantastical (although sometimes real) worlds! This book club focuses on reading the most exciting new SFF releases in paperback and meet monthly in a fun and welcoming environment. It's perfect for sci-fi fans, fantasy aficionados, or those wanting to read the genre for the first time! Run by Tom, we have one session each month (evening). 

Romance Book Club
Introducing The Novel House Romance Book Club. Whether you love a slow-burn, enemies to lovers or a love story that warms the soul - our monthly book club is sure to make for great discussions! Run by Katie, we have one session each month (morning). 

Novella Book Club
Introducing our Novella book club! At The Novel House, we believe a story should be judged by its quality, not by its word count. Novella book club will focus on discussing books which are 200 pages or less. So if you're pushed for time, but still want the opportunity to discuss a great read with some fellow book-lovers, look no further!
