The Novel House warmly invites you to their very first Jolabokaflod!
Jolabokaflod is an Icelandic holiday tradition where people exchange books! Literally translating as the Christmas Book Flood, this celebration is a chance for book lovers to come together. The Novel House Jolabokaflod is our Christmas party, and an excuse to celebrate with you - our lovely customers!
In the spirit of book exchanging, we will ask each attendee to recommend a book that they have read and loved. We will then purchase and wrap this title on your behalf, and have it ready for exchanging on the night. You in turn, will go home with a book recommended by someone else at the party! There will be a chance to swap on the night, but we encourage you to find the person who recommended your book and get them to tell you why they loved it so much!
Your ticket includes a glass of fizz at The Novel House to start your evening, where you will receive a book recommended by a fellow guest. We will then move to Coffee #1 where you will receive a hot drink of your choice, and the inaugural TNH quiz will commence! There will of course be prizes!
So don your sparkles, brush up on your general knowledge and recommend your favourite book. We can't wait to celebrate our first Christmas with you!
